Folding cartons are recyclable as part of the paper stream collected from private households. This is confirmed by a recent, wide-ranging study commissioned by the Fachverband Faltschachtel-Industrie (German Folding Carton Association, FFI) from the Papiertechnische Stiftung (PTS).

Faltschachteln sind als Teil der Altpapier-Haushaltssammelware rezyklierbar. Dies belegt eine aktuelle und breit angelegte Untersuchung, die der Fachverband Faltschachtel-Industrie (FFI) bei der Papiertechnischen Stiftung (PTS) in Auftrag gegeben hatte.
The Recyclability of Folding Cartons
With the adoption of the EU Circular Economy Pact in mid-2018, as well as the consultations on the development of the Single Use Plastics Directive (SUP Single Use Plastics) soon to be adopted, the recyclability of packaging, especially that which has a plastic layer, is at the centre of public discussion.
Die Recyclingfähigkeit von Faltschachteln
Mit der Verabschiedung des EU‐Kreislaufwirtschafts‐Paktes Mitte 2018 sowie den Beratungen über die Entwicklung der demnächst zur Verabschiedung anstehenden Richtlinie über Einwegkunststoffe (SUP Single Use Plastics) steht die Recyclingfähigkeit von Verpackungen, insbesondere die, die mit einer Kunststoffschicht versehen sind, im Mittelpunkt der öffentlichen Diskussion.
